There are so many things to do in Nashville Tennessee that I wish I had gone there for at least a week. There is pretty much something for everyone. Obviously, there is a lot of music and great music at that. Even if you aren’t the biggest country music fan, you’ll still love the many bars featuring a band in every single room. The musicians all audition to play and are there to play for tips. That means you know they are pretty good…otherwise, they would starve!

Downtown Nashville

The downtown Nashville bar scene is strong. Just go to Broadway, and there are probably at least 15 places tDowntown Nashville - Simple Life Happy Lifeo choose from:

Tootsies is a narrow bar that gets packed at night. You might have a hard time getting in if you don’t get there early. Fun fact: Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock got married there for their second wedding. Rippy’s Bar and Grill, owned by the same owners as Tootsies, is a multi-level bar that features good southern fried food and features bands in 3 different rooms. The upstairs is windowless, letting you enjoy the nice weather while still being under a roof. Oh, the roof. There are so many rooftop bars that let you soak in the sun and the music. The Stage, Tootsies, and Crazytown are just a handful to mention.

Nashville Music

Nashville Music - Simple Life Happy Life

As I said, there is great music everywhere. Music is one of the things to do in Nashville Tennessee. It isn’t all just traditional country music. The best part is that most bands take requests for tips, so no matter what, you should get to hear something you like throughout the day/night.

The Bridgestone Center is home to some of the best musical acts. I was lucky enough just to get to see Keith Urban play with opening acts Brett Eldredge and Maren Morris. If I weren’t a huge fan before the concert, I am now. If you get the chance, go to a live country show, you won’t be disappointed.

More Things To Do in Nashville Tennessee

Nashville Titans Crowd and Football Field

Head to the Nissan Stadium to Titan Up and watch the Tennessee Titans battle for victory. It doesn’t matter if they win or lose, the fans are there to have a good time, and the energy at the stadium is positive. My non-football fan Husband said that it was one of the best experiences he had.

Predators Hockey

For all those hockey fans out there, the Bridgestone Arena is also home to the Nashville Predators. I didn’t get a chance to take in a game, but if the fans are anything like the football fans, you’ll have a great time.

There is plenty of shopping to be done in downtown Nashville. Whether you are looking for souvenirs or perhaps some new cowboy boots, you will have lots of options. Nashville is a good place to get cowboy boots. Most stores had 2 for 1 offers, so if you and your friend or significant other both need a pair, check out the deals while you are there.

You are in the south, so you are going to get a lot of BBQ and fried meat here. But, like any major city, you still have lots of other options. We checked out Morton’s Steakhouse, The Melting Pot, and Hooters. Yep…Hooters. But, hey, where else do you go after an afternoon football game and you want to watch the night games 🙂

There are so many things to do in Nashville Tennessee that it is great for large groups of people with different interests. There is something for everyone.
